Oct 02-05, 2020: This past weekend was the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technologies Raceway at Gateway. In what seems fitting for the year 2020, the weekend was marred with delays and cancellations. Light rain most of Saturday pushed qualifying late and the cold temps all weekend wreaked havoc on the teams trying to find grip, especially the lower downforce classes resulting in a multitude of accidents and even more delays. Several classes were just postponed altogether to future dates. Our very own event photographer Robert Ledesma was on hand and still caught plenty of action on the strip and behind the scenes.
